Hi ladies and gentlemen, 

Thank you for visiting my page. I hope to accomplish two things here on my website and through my books. Both are daring challenges, and I would feel privileged if I were to succeed in that, even for one minute. I don't take that opportunity for granted.

First: I hope to put a smile on your face. Through entertainment and good times reading and sharing, we receive joy and pleasure. I don't take myself too seriously and I make myself laugh with my own silly blunders. Example: on the top of this page it says "Future bestseller somewhere". This is an ambitious goal and a joke at the same time. Don't take me too seriously, I don't :)

Second: I hope to provide a food for thought. Very few things in my writing are simplistic. They may be not that good (judging the quality of it is your prerogative, my dear reader), but they are not simplistic and one-dimensional. Most things have something else behind them. Sometimes it is a subtle message, sometimes a straight-forward opinion. It's not always my opinion, my characters have one too, but there is a seed of possibilities. A seed that can be planted in our minds and grow into something a lot more important than my writing.

Ilya Rockwell was born and raised in Ahtme, Estonia, a town known for its village-like simplicity and beautiful birch trees. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 21 to find a place to implement his vision. He now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and gets a chance to try something new every day. He likes to spend his free time watching an inordinate amount of movies and forcing his 15-year-old daughter to listen to his philosophical life speeches. He uses his job as an author to help pass on what he’s learned through his life to others.
